December 8, 2001

    On Saturday, December 8, 2001 Post 149 and Auxiliary Unit 149 participated in the Escondido Christmas parade.  Click on the image below for an enlarged picture then use your browser's "back" button to return to this page.

February 23, 2002

    On Saturday, February 23, 2002, Post 149 hosted Post 416 from Encinitas to hold 2 ceremonies.  Beginning at 1 PM, Chaplain Louis Miller led the officers and members of both Posts and other guests from the community in conducting the "4 Chaplains" Memorial service.  Following the service, all of the guests were served hot dogs and other refreshments on the patio.  Following the refreshments, the officers of both Posts conducted a ceremony for the disposal of American Flags that were no longer suitable for service.

September 22, 2002 - National POW-MIA Day

    On Saturday, September 22, 2002, Post 149 presented a POW-MIA ceremony in honor of National POW-MIA Remembrance Day.   Following the ceremony, the Post adjourned to the back pation for the disposal of American Flags that were no longer suitable for service.  See the "North County Times" article.
