The American Legion Riders, Chapter 149 was formed in July 2001 as District 22 Chapter (San Diego County) at and sponsored by Post 149 in Escondido.  The American Legion Riders is a group that was first formed in Garden City, Michigan Post 396 in 1994. It consisted of members of the American Legion, Auxiliary or Sons of the Legion who ride motorcycles.

Larry suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized for a brief period before succumbing to his illness.

Lawrence Sun-Soul Mosley died peacefully in his sleep at approximately 2 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2006.  In accordance with his Hopi ancestry, his remains were cremated and transported to the Hopi reservation in Arizona for proper disposal.
Sun-Soul was active as a motorcycle rights activist through Abate Local 6 and served as our Road Captain prior to his passing.

Skip Ertwine, Colonol USMC (Ret.), died Aug. 10, 2008 at age 63.
