COMMANDER | JEN HOLDEN

It’s SPRING!!! I love this time of year, and it means new beginnings.  First round nominations for Post Officers will be held at the April Post meeting on April 16, 2024 at 6:00 PM. I encourage you to attend our meeting and participate in the democratic process to establish how your Post is run and who runs it.

If you haven’t bought your ticket for the Law and Order Dinner on April 6, 2024 please see the bartender on duty or the adjutant to get on the the list. Cocktail hour starts at 5:00 PM, dinner is at 6:00 PM, and the presentation of awards starts at 7:00 PM. Please attend the event, it is an opportunity for us to show our support and appreciation to our local law enforcement and first responders directly.

Thank you all for increasing the traffic at our Post in the last few weeks. It has made an impact. Our new operating hours have also made a difference in our bottom line. Small things that don’t seem that big, when taken together make a big impact. The Post will survive our current fiscal woes. I know it will, and it will because of you. The Post Officers are working on ideas for fundraising, so standby for more information.

Here are some positive things we can do collectively to support the Post.

  • Donate an hour or two of your time to the Post monthly.
  • Attend meetings, and be on time.
  • Participate and be invested in the meeting; this is your Post.
  • When a volunteer for a function or project is needed, offer to be one.
  • This organization provides a valuable community and support system. Participate in the Post’s events: dinner, breakfast, karaoke, and other activities.
  • Give one another grace. We all come from different backgrounds, but we are all veterans.
