Hello fellow Legionnaires,

Wow — October went by fast! This was a good month for the Post, with the exception, of course, of the members and family who have transferred to Post Everlasting.

The U.S. Navy Birthday celebration on October 12 was a lot of fun. I even put on my dungarees! It was the same day as the District 22 meeting, and all of the Navy veterans who were there participated in the cake cutting.

Calling all Legionnaires — it’s that time of year again! We will be starting our Buddy Check program as part of The American Legion’s Be The One initiative. Please contact me if you would like to help out. I’ve noticed the camaraderie among our members — stepping up to help our fellow Post family members. That’s awesome and very much appreciated! Bravo Zulu!

Speaking of appreciation, thank you to all our members who come to the Post on a regular basis. Your support really helps with paying the bills. I also ask, if possible, that you attend our monthly meeting — it really makes a difference for the Post. And when you do come, please bring a buddy!

This upcoming month is going to be a busy one. North County Vet Fest is the main event for November. If you’d like to participate, please visit northcountyvetfest.org and sign up.

Finally, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
